What to Tell Patients Who Want to Delete Their Data

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Some patients may ask about deleting their data from Amissa. Here's what you need to know to answer their questions and understand the implications for your practice.

What Patients Can Do

Patients can request deletion of their data through the Amissa app or by contacting support. This includes symptom logs, wearable data, and any other information they've entered.

What This Means for Your Practice

  • Dashboard impact: Once a patient deletes their data, it will no longer be visible in your provider dashboard. Historical trends and insights for that patient will be removed.

  • Clinical records: Any data you've already exported or documented in your own clinical records is unaffected — Amissa data deletion only applies to the Amissa platform.

  • Re-enrollment: If a patient deletes their data and later wants to rejoin, they'll start fresh with no historical data in the system.

How to Respond

If a patient asks about data deletion, let them know they have full control over their data. You may want to suggest they export any data they want to keep before deleting. Direct them to the app's account or privacy settings, or to the Amissa support team at support@amissa.com.
